5 reasons why bill belichick is the greatest


1. The Genius
Sticking with Brady over Bledsoe when everyone in New England was screaming for Bledsoe. Releasing Lawyer Malloy. Trading for Welker and Randy Moss. Releasing Randy Moss. Taking a hard line stance with the media, and infecting his players with the same discipline. These are all the marks of a great coach. But of course, Bill takes it one step further. Hint: HE IS IN YOUR FUCKING PLAYBOOK!

As if being better than your team--in every aspect--wasn't enough, Bill goes and steals the damn play book. "Hmmmm, Tom Brady is our QB and I'm a fucking genius... Let's videotape their signals and run up the score!" Fucking genius Bill. Genius. Pile it on!


2. The Draft
The most important and underrated aspect of building a succesful franchise is the Draft. Bill Belichick has been an ace at the draft since 2000. According to ColdHardFootballFacts.com, in the past decade, Bill has drafted 11 pro bowlers and 46 players who are still playing today. In fact, the Patriots are the best drafting team in the NFL over that period.

ColdHardFootballFacts.com doesn't take into account this year's stellar draft, which could be as succesful as last year's try, where Bill halled in 5 starters with his first 6 picks. The Pats are in position for another dynastic run.


3., 4., 5. The Rings

"Hey look, I win again!"
This is what it's all about! 4 Super Bowl appearances, multiple regular and post season records, and 3 World Championship rings! Most NFL fans hate on Bill Belichick, but every NFL franchise strives to follow the example he has set with the Patriots. Hell, even franchises from other sports strive to be like the Patriots.

This post is in honor of Bill Belichick becoming the highest paid coach in Sports. Or as I like to call it; Fuck you Phil Jackson, I hope you choke.

    I never liked my country sports we just suck at it .. But i do follow other country sports they are just worth of the title interesting :)

    I disagree completely with Bill being a great drafter. So he lucked into Tom Brady, after you know, passing on him 6 times prior (or 5). Take a quick look at the player's he's taken lately. Outside of Mayo and McCourty, have any of those players been all that good? Merriweather is a liability and quite overrated, Brace has done nothing thus far, Maroney was absolutely terrible. The list goes on and on. People just like to point out that he got Brady in the 6th and he's a genius. Outside of that, past the first round, his selections have been mediocre at best. Most dont even last on the team past their first contract.

    I'm not a Pats fan, but I have great respect for what the organization has done over the past decade, due in large part to Belichick. I do wish, however, that they would go back to the old Pat Patriot logo. Way better than the new one!

    BRAUMAMAN you are completely wrong. you cannot back up anything you just said with fact. ColdHardFootballFacts.com, however, does back up my claim. Since BB took over the Pats, they have had the BEST draft record in the NFL. Period.
